Formed in 2018, Direct Measure is a hard-hitting metallic hardcore band from St. Louis, Missouri, a city rapidly gaining recognition for its thriving underground scene. With a relentless drive and an unflinching commitment to their craft, the band has carved out a distinctive sound that blends crushing riffs, aggressive rhythms, and raw intensity—pushing the boundaries of hardcore and cementing their place in the genre's modern evolution.

The band's journey began with a shared passion for powerful, high-energy music and an unyielding desire to make a statement. Since their formation, Direct Measure has released three EPs, with Road to Nowhere (2018) and The Worst of Us (2019) gaining notable attention. Their music, defined by its metallic edge and brutal energy, resonates with fans of heavy hitters like Power Trip, Enforced, Mindforce, Dead Heat, and Terror, while also paying homage to the hardcore greats of the past like Cro Mags, Leeway, and Iron Age.

Direct Measure’s contributions to the St. Louis hardcore scene have been pivotal in putting the Gateway City on the map, alongside other standout acts like Time and Pressure, and Squint.

Currently, the band is preparing for the release of their much-anticipated LP, Might, And Might Alone, set to drop in 2025 through WAR Records. The first single, "Hour of Siege", gives a taste of the powerful direction they’re heading in, and fans can expect an album that takes their signature sound to new, even more intense heights.
