Ursprünglich 1984 veröffentlicht, ist "The Politics Of Time" von den legendären Minutemen ein faszinierender Einblick in die Kreativität und Entwicklung der Band. Als ihr siebtes Release, drittes Full-Length und erste Compilation schlägt dieses Album die Brücke zwischen ihrer EP "Buzz Or Howl Under The Influence Of Heat" und dem monumentalen Doppelalbum "Double Nickels On The Dime".

Originally released in 1984, "The Politics Of Time" by the legendary Minutemen serves as a fascinating snapshot of the band's creativity and evolution. As their seventh release, third full-length, and first compilation, this album bridges the gap between their "Buzz Or Howl Under The Influence Of Heat" EP and the monumental "Double Nickels On The Dime" LP.

Initially issued on their own New Alliance Records, this collection features seven studio tracks intended for a never-completed album outside of SST, along with a selection of raw live recordings, many captured with rudimentary cassette machines, and a rare recording from their pre-Minutemen project, The Reactionaries.

This reissue brings the seminal compilation back to vinyl, offering fans a chance to rediscover the gritty charm and restless experimentation of the Minutemen during a formative period in their history.
