BALMORA – These Graven Halls (Clear Yellow Vinyl) [LP]

On May 29th, BALMORA release their highly anticipated debut album “These Graven Halls” via DAZE. Three years in the making, the record blends modern metalcore with melodic black metal, delivering a dynamic and forward-thinking sound.

Drawing influence from bands like The Black Dahlia Murder and On Broken Wings, while also pulling from cinematic and experimental sources such as “Requiem For A Dream,” Silent Hill, Philip Glass, and Bladee, BALMORA craft a sound that is both aggressive and atmospheric.

Lyrically, the album explores themes of self-reflection, anguish, deception, and power, creating a deeply introspective and emotionally charged experience.

The album features guest appearances from members of I Promised The World, Upon Stone, Empty Shell Casing, and Holder, adding further depth to the project.

Recorded at The Source in New Haven, CT, with production, engineering, and mixing handled by band members Chaz Torok and Jay Torblaa, and mastering by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, “These Graven Halls” represents a bold debut that pushes the boundaries of modern heavy music.
