“Let’s Give The Land Back To The Animals” is the second full-length album from Philadelphia, PA post-hardcore band Bitter Branches, produced by legendary producer J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines). Following their 2022 debut “Your Neighbors Are Failures,” the band turns darker, moodier, and more introspective on this release.
Featuring an experienced lineup including Tim Singer (Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye), Jeff Tirabassi (Walleye), Matt Ryan (Cavalry), Kevin Sommerville (Lighten Up!), and Dan Yemin (Paint It Black, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime), the album delivers tension-heavy songwriting and raw atmosphere. From the ominous syncopation of opener “Rat Poison” to the discordant dirge of closer “Here Comes The Chisel,” the record bridges classic Black Flag intensity with the abrasive edge associated with the Amphetamine Reptile roster.
