Cosmic Joke bridge the gap between the gritty authenticity of ’80s and ’90s Los Angeles hardcore and the melodic hooks of Southern California skate punk. Their sound recalls the classic Epitaph era as much as the New Jersey hardcore scene that produced bands like Lifetime and Kid Dynamite.
Since releasing their demo in 2021, the band have followed with two 12" records, both co-released by Triple-B Records and Hardlore. Across twelve tracks, Cosmic Joke move between melodic hardcore, skate punk, and classic hardcore energy.
