DEAD KENNEDYS ´Plastic Surgery Disasters´ Vinyl LP
DEAD KENNEDYS ´Plastic Surgery Disasters´ LP
“Plastic Surgery Disasters” is the second full-length album by punk rock legends Dead Kennedys and stands as one of the darkest and most aggressive records in early American punk and hardcore history. Recorded in San Francisco in June 1982, the album was produced by guitarist East Bay Ray alongside punk producer Thom Wilson.Compared to their debut “Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables,” this release pushes toward a heavier, more hardcore-influenced sound, expanding on the tension, anger, and atmosphere first explored on the 1980 single “Holiday in Cambodia.”
The album marks the first full-length appearance of drummer D.H. Peligro and is famously Jello Biafra’s favorite Dead Kennedys album, further cementing its importance within the band’s catalog.
A landmark release in political punk, “Plastic Surgery Disasters” captures Dead Kennedys at their most confrontational and uncompromising. Imported by:
