On their fifth full-length “Security,” Fotocrime erupt with melodic, pummeling, industrial-tinged post-punk, revealing a more aggressive, guitar-driven edge. While it may feel like a pivot, this direction is deeply rooted in Ryan Patterson’s musical history and DNA.
Featuring contributions from J. Robbins (Jawbox), who also co-produced, engineered, and co-mixed the album with Patterson at the House Of Foto Studio, “Security” balances tension, melody, and force with striking immediacy.
