“Wavering Radiant” is the final album by Isis, originally released in 2009. As part of Ipecac Recordings’ reissue series, the album has been remastered by James Plotkin and made available again.
Produced by Joe Barresi, “Wavering Radiant” continues Isis’ focus on long, evolving song structures while moving slightly away from the soft-loud dynamics and post-metal aesthetic that defined earlier releases.
With dense atmosphere, complex arrangements, and heavy sonic textures, “Wavering Radiant” captures Isis in a late, reflective phase shortly before the band’s breakup.
