JUDGE ´There Will Be Quiet´ Vinyl 7"
Revelation Records
In 1990, JUDGE had a new song titled “Forget This Time” and wanted to record and share it with the world. Additionally, the band had been touring and had made improvements to some of their existing songs; one standout was “The Storm”, which now featured a breakdown in the middle that wasn’t present in previous versions. Mike was particularly excited about covering “When The Levee Breaks” (a bonus track on the original CDEP, now available as a streaming bonus track) and having his local friend Todd Schwartz perform the harmonica solo. With these three songs in mind, the band headed to Don Fury’s studio on Spring Street to record what would become “The Storm” EP. One day, Mike arrived on his Harley, inspiring the idea to run a microphone cable into the street to capture the sound of the engine revving—something you can hear in this version of “The Storm.”
