PIEBALD – If It Weren’t For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All (Colored Vinyl) [LP]
PIEBALD – If It Weren’t For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All (Colored Vinyl) [LP]
PRE-ORDER
Before Piebald became known for their anthemic sing-alongs and offbeat charm, “If It Weren’t For Venetian Blinds, It Would Be Curtains For Us All” captured the band in transition. Originally released in 1999 on Big Wheel Recreation, the album marked their shift from hardcore roots into a unique blend of emo, indie rock, and post-hardcore.
Balancing chaos and melody, sincerity and satire, Piebald created a sound that stood apart from their peers. The record bridges experimental songwriting with catchy, hook-driven structures that would go on to define an era.
Now reissued by Iodine Recordings, this deluxe edition brings the long out-of-print album back to vinyl. Fully remastered by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Quicksand) at The Atomic Garden, the release features updated artwork reconstructed from original materials and includes retrospective commentary from the band.
Emerging from the influential Merrimack Valley scene alongside Converge and Cave In, Piebald helped shape the transition from underground post-hardcore to the melodic emo wave that followed.
