Originally released in 1991, the self-titled Ray & Porcell 7" brought together Ray Cappo (Youth Of Today, Shelter) and John "Porcell" Porcelly (Youth Of Today, Judge) for two Krishna-conscious tracks: "Fame" and "Broken Glass." Recorded at the legendary Don Fury Studio in NYC, the record marked a shift from the fast-paced hardcore that Youth Of Today fans knew, with both songs later finding a home in Shelter’s catalog. With its drum machine backbone and iconic black-and-white cover photo of Ray and Porcell gazing out a NYC window, this release stands as a unique, stripped-down artifact of early-’90s hardcore history.
