RECOLLECTION – Intrusive Thoughts (Mustard Vinyl) [12"]

Recollection combine melodic hardcore with indie rock and nostalgic alternative influences on the “Intrusive Thoughts” EP. The New England lineup features members of Rude Awakening, Hammer Bros, Skinhead, Criminal Instinct, The World, Life’s End, Hard Ca$h, and Stab.

The band was originally formed by vocalist Josh Hynes and guitarist Joshua Long while coping with the loss of a friend. Following the 2025 debut EP “Vivid Dreams,” Recollection explore a more vulnerable and dynamic side of their sound on “Intrusive Thoughts.”

The four new songs reflect different stages of life and personal change. “Lost In Translation” focuses on finding your place in the modern world, while “Son” addresses the changes that come with becoming a parent. Musically, the EP moves between melodic hardcore, indie rock, and alternative punk with influences including Seaweed, Fucked Up, and Hüsker Dü.

The 12" vinyl edition features a silkscreened logo B-side. The CD also includes a remixed and remastered version of the “Vivid Dreams” EP.
