REGIONAL JUSTICE CENTER ´Freedom Sweet Freedom´ LP

Regional Justice Center return with their third album “Freedom, Sweet Freedom,” due out September 20th via Closed Casket Activities. One of the most compelling and confrontational bands in hardcore today delivers their most personal and sonically devastating work yet.

At its core, Regional Justice Center has always been about two brothers. Ian Shelton started the project in 2016 following the incarceration of his younger brother Max, and every release since has explored the choices, cycles, experiences, and institutions surrounding that event—while also serving as a lifeline during Max’s time in prison.

In 2022, Max was released. On “Freedom, Sweet Freedom,” he joins the band directly, contributing to both writing and performance. The album was recorded by acclaimed engineer Taylor Young, who has since also joined RJC as a member. The result is 13 minutes of relentless, emotionally charged hardcore, packed with years of lived experience and unfiltered intensity.
