Secret World, a melodic punk band from Sydney, Australia, brings together members with roots in acts like Speed, Trophy Eyes, and Downside. What began as a 2023 demo on Last Ride Records has now evolved into their debut EP, Guilt Is Good, released in 2024 on Last Ride Records and Sunday Drive Records in the U.S. Produced by Fletcher Matthews, the record expands on their early sound with anthemic hooks and explosive energy, balancing abrasive riffs with melodic sensibilities. Lead singles Living Less and The Way It Goes highlight their growth, while On Show and Silhouette dive into a darker, heavier groove. Compact at just four songs, Guilt Is Good blends post-hardcore influences like Seaweed, Fugazi, and Quicksand with an alternative rock ’n’ roll edge, creating a record made for both singalongs and raw intensity.
