Los Angeles-based Slothrust return with “What They Grow In The Garden,” a new studio album the band describes as “dystopian theatre rock.” The record blends alternative rock with heavier riffs, catchy hooks, and unexpected stylistic shifts.
The album was produced by Slothrust alongside Jordan Witzigreuter of The Ready Set. Lyrically, the new material explores themes including queer romance and sleep paralysis, as heard on the singles “Dystopian Cemetery” and “Twisted Paradise.”
Across twelve tracks, Slothrust push their sound further into dynamic, experimental territory while keeping a strong melodic core.
