TEXAS IS THE REASON ´Texas Is The Reason: TX30 Special Edition´ [Vinyl 12"]
SOLD OUT
PRE-ORDER
Formed in 1994 by members of some of the most popular and polarizing hardcore bands of the early ’90s (Shelter, 108, Resurrection), Texas Is The Reason immediately crystallized a new aesthetic that redefined their members’ musical legacies. Only a year later, Revelation Records released the band’s self-titled EP—its name inspired by a lyric in the Misfits song “Bullet”—and Texas Is The Reason quickly became a defining force in the emerging post-punk and emo scene.
Now, to mark the band’s 30th anniversary, Revelation Records presents the TX30 Special Edition 12" EP, the first in a series of three chronological reissues that document the band’s evolution—from their earliest recordings to their debut album and final unreleased sessions. This edition includes the bonus track “Something to Forget (Version I)”, originally released in 1995 on a split 7" with Samuel. The song would later reappear as “Something to Forget (Version II)” on 1996’s Do You Know Who You Are?, produced by J. Robbins (Jawbox).
Each TX30 release features expanded artwork, never-before-seen photos, flyers, and archival materials, all housed in beautifully designed packaging with unique obi strips that connect the trilogy visually. A landmark reissue celebrating one of the most influential bands of their era.
